Um, how exactly do Floridians define a "cold snap"??? Like, it's only 55 during the day or something? Or maybe it gets down into the 40s at night? I'm not succeeding in working up any real sympathy for you here. :p
We, on the other hand, have already experienced negative numbers and expect wind chills in the -25 to -30 range later this week.
However, I will grant that in the South, it is nearly impossible to buy proper winter clothing unless you go online. I was colder outside in SE Georgia than I ever am here.
